I had an assignment to take photos of Emma, 9, who has Rett syndrome...it's like autism, but worse, and it typically only occurs in females. It can occur in males, but they don't usually survive. I only got to spend an hour with them, but I really liked them. I might follow-up on them and see about doing a story because I've never heard of Rett syndrome, and it's very interesting.
