I found these two really awesome families at the park today when I was looking for a feature.  The two families both have adopted children both domestically, and from abroad.  The families met at the airport when they went to pick up their newly adopted children that had just flown in from Ethiopia, and have been friends since.  These are two of the Ethiopian children flying a kite for the first time.

Last Herald assignment...

So these are from my last assignment at the Herald EVER!  It was a story on international students and how they assimilate into American culture, but still stay rooted in their own cultures, partially by surrounding themselves with other international students.  The writer focused on the Saudi Arabian students, and these guys were all really awesome.
